The data authors have the right to terminate this agreement if the data users violate or fail to comply with any part of this agreement. The data users should undertake the responsibility for any misuse caused by the failure to comply with the terms of this agreement.
1. Redistribution
We adopt Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND) License 4.0 by default (unless there is an explicit license statement in the published article). The license allows the reuse and redistribution of the data. However, a small portion of our datasets are available only through an offline service because of the restrictions from data owners. No charge is associated with either online or offline data distribution.
A CC license is among several public copyright licenses that enable the free distribution of copyrighted work. A summary of the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license is as follows (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/):
You are free to:

NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
NoDerivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.
No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
Permissions to reproduce any published material (figures, schemes, tables, or any extract of a text, etc.) for any public use must be obtained from the authors or data owners.
2. Citation
Data users should cite the use of the data in their work with a formal citation. In addition, please acknowledge the “East Asian Paleoenvironmental Science Database, National Earth System Science Data Sharing Infrastructure, National Science & Technology Infrastructure of China” in your work. Please browse our webpage and send us one reprint of the published work for our collection. A citation acknowledges the data contributors and helps track the use and impact of the data.
3. Web policy
The copyright of all data belongs to the original data authors. We do not automatically collect personally identifiable information. When data users contact the East Asian Paleoenvironmental Science Database via e-mail or by submitting a form, their personal information may be stored so that we can respond to specific requests. Information will not be shared with other agencies, as the law permits. Visitors and users are subject to the relevant laws and regulations of China concerning computer security and internet communication.

East Asian Paleoenvironmental Science Database (EAPSD), relying on State Key Laboratory of Loess and Quaternary Geology, Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is also the branch of the National Earth System Science Data Center. The EAPSD is on the base of the loess plateau, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the arid inland area and other geographical unit in East Asia and focused on integrating, simulating, and excavating paleoenvironment data and reanalysis data. As a comprehensive and diverse integrated data center, the EAPSD strives to make original contribution to academic exchange, sharing of scientific research achievements, as well as the development of science and technology in our country and the world.
The East Asia Paleoenvironmental Science Database (EAPSD) is the only comprehensive paleoenvironmental data center in China, which takes the integration and sharing of paleoenvironmental data as a unit and integrates the decision-making service and professional analysis of the five circles of the earth system, covering different time scales (decadal, centennial, tens of thousands or even millions of years), different unique study regions (such as loess plateau, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, western arid region, eastern monsoon region, etc.), different disciplines (soil science, mineralogy, geochemistry, biology, climatology, hydrology, geography, etc.). It is an important window for data exchange and cooperation of the State Key Laboratory of Loess and Quaternary Geology. The EAPSD currently has the following unique resources:
1) Tectonic scale (tens to millions of years), orbital scale (tens of thousands of years), millennial and centennial scale ice core, lake sediments data, and shorter timescales stalagmite and tree ring high-resolution data;
2) High quality rock core data from different geographic units of East Asia (Lop Nur, Loess Plateau, Qinghai Lake, Jianghan Plain, and Heqing Basin of Yunnan, etc.), including arid, monsoon, and monsoon-arid transitional regions;
3) Physical, chemical, biological and other proxies of different environmental records, such as particle size, gray scale, isotope ratio, sporopollen, Ostracoda, etc;
4) Multidisciplinary paleoenvironmental data related to mineralogy, geochemistry, biology, hydrology, climatology, environmental science, ect. Such as clay mineral, magnetic mineral, element composition, salt index, isotopic composition of organic molecular monomer, pollen, chironomid, sporo-pollen, plant residue, charcoal, diatom, surface runoff reconstruction data, etc;
5) Geological environment records and numerical simulation data of different circles with earth sciences as the main object. Such as dust flux, aluminum flux, coral fluorescence spectrum, ocean isotopes, SST, reconstructed palaeotemperature, palaeoprecipitation, palaeowind field and palaeoclimate simulation output data, etc.
