In this study, we present newly collected hydroclimate proxies from loess deposits in the Asian interior, alongside transient model simulations, to examine the coevolution of monsoon-induced extreme rainfall and significant drying influenced by the westerlies during the mid-Holocene. The data set includes several key climate indicators, such as:
δ13C values for both inorganic and organic carbon,
Mean grain size of loess particles,
Rainstorm index,
Summer Westerly Jet position,
600 hPa June-July-August (JJA) water vapor flux, and
Westerly Jet intensity at 200 hPa during JJA.
