Using the Community Climate System Model version 3 (CCSM3) from NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research), a long-term transient experiment were performed for the past 150 ka with orbital acceleration technique. This dataset collects annual total precipitation (Pre-annual), winter total precipitation (Pre-JJA), East Asian summer monsoon index (EASMI), and June insolation at 45 degrees north of modeling output in monsoonal east Asia (110-120°E, 35-50°N) over the past 150 ka. And East Asian summer monsoon index (EASMI) is calculated based on the definition by Wang, H. J., (2000) using the following equation, EASMI = (U’ + V’)/√2, in which U’ and V’ are the zonal and meridional summer wind departures from the zonal average at 850 hPa in the area 105°E–120°E and 25°N–45°N, respectively. The simulation results reveal that both annual precipitation, summer precipitation and EASMI in monsoonal east Asia exhibit cyclic patterns of 20 ka intervals similar to summer monsoon characteristics observed from reconstructed oxygen isotope time series EA-D18O of the Sanbao and Hulu Caves stalagmite records.
